Abstrak

The results showed that (1) the supervision carried out by BPOM was divided into two. There is a Pre Market where the supervision is carried out before the imported food enters Indonesia. The second is the Post Market, where supervision is carried out after the imported food has entered Indonesia. (2) Obstacles experienced by BBPOM Semarang City in terms of supervising imported food are twofold. The first is internal constraints such as the lack of BBPOM employees. The second is external constraints, namely from consumers themselves. The conclusions of this study are (1) The supervision carried out by BBPOM in supervising imported food is good, but there are still many imported foods that are not suitable for consumption and are traded to the public. (2) Internal constraints experienced by BBPOM were overcome by requesting additional quotas of employees to the center, while external constraints experienced by BBPOM were overcome by collaborating with consumers and business actors.
