Abstrak

Community organizations (Ormas) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are manifestations of the ongoing civil society that functions to bridge, fight for and defend the interests of the people from the domination of capital interests and practical politics. With the power of collectivity, capacity and mass organization, Ormas and NGOs have the function of supervising and engaging in development policies or programs for the benefit of the public. The problem of this research is how the role of civil society organizations in child welfare efforts, especially in the education sector. This study uses a qualitative research type, which is to find the truth of quantity by obtaining data that can be calculated quantitatively. The data collection method used is library research, namely research using books, magazines, journals, internet and other sources.Based on research conducted on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Yayasan Pusaka Indonesia (YPI), with their resources and scope of work, they have an important role in assisting the Government in creating a quality generation of nations in the midst of poverty. limited material support.
