PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM BAGI PEREMPUAN DALAM PERKAWINAN MENURUT UU NO. 23 TAHUN 2004

Abstrak

The purpose of marriage is to form a happy family for both men and women, but often women become victims of domestic violence (KDRT) and this is the background of Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence to prevent and protect victims of domestic violence both physically, psychologically and sexually. This research uses normative research and empirical methods by examining library materials (secondary data). The location of the research was conducted at the Medan District Court which is located at Jl. Pengadilan No. 8. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Researchers found factors that caused domestic violence by husbands to relate to the relationship between men and women, gender reasons that husbands felt they were under the control of their husbands, and fear of reporting violence to the authorities. Thus, Law No. 23 of 2004 must be able to guarantee the safety of victims of domestic violence and provide protection for victims.
