Publication Ethics

Excellence: Journal of English and English Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publication process—editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher—must adhere to ethical principles to ensure integrity, transparency, and academic rigor.

Editors’ Responsibilities

  • Ensure fair and unbiased review based on academic merit, regardless of race, gender, religious belief, or institutional affiliation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
  • Act on any ethical concerns or allegations of misconduct, including plagiarism and conflicts of interest.

Authors’ Responsibilities

  • Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal
  • Accurately represent data and findings without fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.
  • Properly cite sources and avoid plagiarism in all its forms.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research.
  • Cooperate with the editorial team during the review and revision process.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations to improve the quality of submissions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and avoid using content from reviewed manuscripts for personal gain.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review if necessary.

Ethical Misconduct
Cases of ethical misconduct, such as plagiarism, redundant publication, or data manipulation, will be investigated and may result in rejection, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions.

This journal follows COPE guidelines where applicable and promotes ethical scholarly communication across the disciplines it serves.
